Webb19 juni 2014 · The Salmon Lodge reports some very good fish being landed by visiting anglers from Britain. Sir Edward Dashwood leading the charge with a magnificent fish of 36 lb. He also landed salmon weighing 30 lb, 16 lb and 12 lb. The lodge has two rods available later this season during August 20 to 24. WebbFrom about 1947 to 1953 Captain W.E. Johns lived at Pitchroy Lodge, a house on the estate of Ballindalloch Castle, where he wrote a lot and where he could pursue other major hobbies, like salmon fishing. He also situated many stories in the vicinity, like his Space series and the book Where the golden eagle soars.
