I'd like to hear from anyone who has, or has knowledge of, anyone who has converted from an outboard to an inboard, preferably on a Hardy Pilot. I'd like to step down to around a 30Hp diesel engine. But my feeling is go for the inboard. Having an outboard out on that narrow stern is not fun. Get the engine looked at by a pro, if you feel that it is not within your experience, then fit it. Maybe first sling it in first to check clearances.
